Maritime Heritage Alliance

Gracie L

The Gracie L is a 20-ft. replica of a traditional Mackinaw boat. This light, open sailboat with a shallow draft was first used by fur traders and, later, by fishermen on the upper Great Lakes.  It was known as "the pickup truck" of the day.

This was the first boat built by the Maritime Heritage Alliance and can often be seen at festivals and events in the area.
