Great Lakes Boat Building School's Fall 2013 newsletter, Stem2Stern features an article on Page 6 titled, "A Graduation for the History Books," about the June 6, 2013 graduation at which Matthew Stackpole was the guest speaker. The article mentions Maritime Heritage Alliance's participation in the restoration of the Charles W. Morgan whaling ship in Mystic, CT through its construction of spars for the whaleboat built by the graduating class at GLBBS.
The journal of the Traditional Small Craft Association (TSCA), The Ash Breeze, features an article on Page 3 written by Pete Mathews titled, "Oars for a Whaleboat." Maritime Heritage Alliance's construction of the spars for GLBBS's whaleboat for the Charles W. Morgan is mentioned.
